"FAN"... short for fanatic.  In common terns, a fan is a supporter of a team or person.

I am a fan of OSU.  I encourage, root for, and support the school and its athletic teams.  I am a fan when they are good, when they were horrible, and when they are great. A fan through all seasons; no matter what.
If that describes you, GREAT!!  I respect and understand that.  But what I can not abide are the "fair weather" fans.  Those who are fans...until the team loses, then they are ready to bail, yelling "Fire the coach!" and booing the players. These aren't really true fans, they only want to support if everything is good.

God is my biggest fan.  He supports and encourages me in good times and bad.  He has seen me in the good, the bad, and the ugly stages of my life.  The best thing about His support?  It never wavers, and He never changes His mind about me.  He loves and cheers me on each and every day.  When I seem to lose in some battles, He never quits on me.  Hebrews 12 describes Jesus like a cheerleader.  Even if I'm not playing well, He keeps cheering me on to better times.

Success or failure, I am a diehard Cowboy fan.  A little like Jesus supporting me through life in success or failure, and He does the same for every one of His believers.
You have a Die-Hard Fan in your corner!

There is something diminished in our society, I believe. It is the attitude of gratitude.  So many people seem to feel they are entitled to life's blessings, and they ignore the sense of gratefulness that should prevail. We live in a generation that tends to demand a lot but never says thanks.
Yeah, I know we have a day in November to be thankful.  But is that enough? Have you shown gratitude to those who have enhanced and blessed your life?  Have you shared your appreciation with the people who have sacrificed on your behalf?
Folks, you are not entitled to be given anything....except life, a chance to succeed, and a Savior.  Well, let me clarify that statement. You definitely don't merit a Savior and neither do I.  But God provided one for you and me anyway. To truly show your gratitude for such a gift, He has one demand - your life devoted and surrendered to him.  He want His gift to be claimed and appreciated.
So I say THANKS!!  To our veterans, to our loved ones , to our friends, to those who have blessed my life---A HEARTY THANK YOU!!!  And to our Savior, Jesus Christ, my multiplied thanks and gratefulness!

Shake rattle and roll!! A rock song? No, a real live earthquake struck in our state last night.  The whole place here at our house shook for almost a minute... and we were 125 miles away from the center.
I'm reading that some folks were shocked, others were frightened, some just slept through or ignored the whole thing.  I keep thinking this is another warning of God and another attempt to get our attention.  God does do things to try to draw people to Him.  I believe He is attempting to show signs of the time of His soon coming, and wants to awaken us to His love and His Son.
Question - Are you ready for His return? Renie and I were startled when the earthquake happened, but excited that God is still calling people to Himself.  Will someone take note?  Sure hope and pray they do!

The hype has been going on for several days now.
"#1 versus #2!! The Game of the Century!  Oh, really? Another one? Again? Hmmm...
I just can't get too excited about a simple football game that is supposedly going to fulfill all the expectations described by the sportscasters, when I know about a REAL battle.  THE battle of all time--Jesus versus Satan at the Cross!
The Son of God took on the Devil himself to fulfill God's plan to redeem mankind and establish the Father's plan for salvation.  Jesus looked bloody and bruised and even was buried- but He won by a resurrection!!
Now that's the type of confrontation that excites me.  Jesus defeated Death, Hell, the grave, and the Devil through His Resurrection after crucifixion.  And He did that for you and me, so that we would be winners for all eternity.
Game Of The Century? Nah! How about The Match of Eternity?? Oh what a Savior!!
