"FAN"... short for fanatic. In common terns, a fan is a supporter of a team or person.
I am a fan of OSU. I encourage, root for, and support the school and its athletic teams. I am a fan when they are good, when they were horrible, and when they are great. A fan through all seasons; no matter what.
If that describes you, GREAT!! I respect and understand that. But what I can not abide are the "fair weather" fans. Those who are fans...until the team loses, then they are ready to bail, yelling "Fire the coach!" and booing the players. These aren't really true fans, they only want to support if everything is good.
God is my biggest fan. He supports and encourages me in good times and bad. He has seen me in the good, the bad, and the ugly stages of my life. The best thing about His support? It never wavers, and He never changes His mind about me. He loves and cheers me on each and every day. When I seem to lose in some battles, He never quits on me. Hebrews 12 describes Jesus like a cheerleader. Even if I'm not playing well, He keeps cheering me on to better times.
Success or failure, I am a diehard Cowboy fan. A little like Jesus supporting me through life in success or failure, and He does the same for every one of His believers.
You have a Die-Hard Fan in your corner!
